  2. Are you frustrated with the incomplete, disorganized Dsz.com (ZMODEM) Manual?

  4. So was I.  In fact, I was so frustrated with the manual I spent a couple
  5. of days editing and compiling a new one, using the current Dsz.com & Zcomm
  6. manuals.  I think you'll find this one much more complete than any other
  7. single source, as well as being far better organized.  It certainly should
  8. be helpful to newcomers to Zmodem (and telecommunications in general),
  9. as it offers short histories & explanations of all the protocols supported
  10. by DSZ, and complete examples of DSZ setup & numeric parameters, file transfer
  11. commands, and file transfer command options (in a logical order, no less!).

  13. DSZ.DOC is the straight ASCII manual, suitable for use with a file
  14. browser.
  15.  
  16. PRINTER.DOC is formatted for printing on 8.5" x 11" paper.  Just set your
  17. printer to an Elite (12cpi/10pt) font, and copy the doc to your printer
  18. (copy printer.doc prn).  The Manual will print with 1" margins all around,
  19. with page numbers at the bottom center of the page.  There are 37 pages to
  20. the manual.

  22. TOC.DOC is a short Table of Contents for the Printed Manual.

  24. TIPS.DOC is a short file containing tips on setting up & using DSZ.  It can
  25. be invaluable!  I have unfortunately forgotten the author's name, so I cannot
  26. give credit where it is due.

  28. DSZ.DOC & PRINTER.DOC cover everything included in the current 1/22/90 Dsz.com
  29. (ZMODEM-90) release.
